I always got a tad bit annoyed with people that would update Facebook statuses, constantly blog, and never shut up about their wedding.
I get it now.
And things are really going my way! I bought a designer wedding dress off of KSL classifieds for a grand total of 60 dollars. SIXTY. I love it, and I can't believe I got such a steal. Savin' money all over the place! Everything's working out.
But today there was a slight bump in the road with wedding planning.
Kameron and I had our eyes set on this gorgeous barn in Mapleton. (Some of you probably know it.) I've gone to several concerts there, and my brother had his wedding dinner there a few years ago. It would be perfect for a winter wedding and with all the plans that I had in mind.
But then it fell through.
I guess Mapleton City won't let them rent it out anymore.
I was (and still am) so sad about it. It was exactly the place I wanted to have my reception. So now I'm trying to find a different place that I like even half as much that is still a good price.
While I'm still super bummed about it, my mom said something that I really loved.
So, that helped me really remember the important part of my wedding. It's not where we have our reception but that I'm getting married to Kam in the temple.
I guess that's reason enough to be happy. :)

I personally enjoy all the wedding banter. And, I love that you find the optimism in every situation. You'll find a great place for the reception, don't worry! :)
ReplyDeleteThere is a barn they rent out at Wheeler Farm, if you are still looking for a barn...:) My cousin had her reception there a few years back and it was pretty cool.
